The Rotary Club of Mount Airy presents the Budbreak Wine and Craft Beer Festival. The annual wine festival offers wine tastings and sales from over 15 North Carolina wineries and breweries, several food vendors, local artists and musical entertainment. Proceeds from the event will benefit charity organizations supported by the Rotary Club of Mount Airy. There is great food from 13 Bones and local restaurants and fantastic entertainment!
The Budbreak Wine and Craft Beer Festival is the primary external fund-raising event for the Mount Airy Rotary Club. The success of this event allows the club to support nonprofit organizations and projects in our community and around the world. The event also makes an impact filling up local hotels and providing more customers for local eateries. In just the past few years the Mount Airy Rotary Club has given a total of $150,000 to the following nonprofit organizations and projects: Through the success of the fundraiser we have been able to provide extraordinary service to our community and the world. We look forward to continued success and being able to support these and other projects in the years to come.
During the Autumn Leaves Festival, our club manages a local bank’s parking lot raising money for our community and international projects.
Our club sells a total of 68 tickets for $100 each and each ticket holder will randomly draw a team from a basket that contains all of the college teams participating in the men’s basketball tournament for that year. Monetary prizes are awarded to the winners. The selection party is held the Monday evening prior to the start of the men’s college basketball tournament.
