Our Rotary Club along with Interact students, and other non-profits and our local school system, provided 300 meals to all of the families who live in low-income housing in Mount Airy. We packed boxes with a complete meal and distributed them to all the families for Thanksgiving.
Our club conducts food drives throughout the year to address food insecurity in our local community. We take the food collected to area agencies to distribute to those in need.
Our club packs backpacks for children in our local community who live with food insecurity.
Our club partners with Rise Against Hunger to pack meals to be distributed worldwide to those in need. These meals provide nutrition to children and their families before and after disaster strikes and are distributed in over 45 countries.
